About

D R M S (pronounced DREAMS) is the musician, composer, and producer Etienne Dupuis-Cloutier, based in Montreal. Classically trained from an early age with a focus on percussion, piano, and violin, he developed a musical sensibility shaped as much by jazz as by electronic, indie, and pop music.

With his debut album “Those Years When Everything Changed”, he delivers atmospheric and accessible

music at the crossroads of chill electronic, lo-fi, and neoclassical genres. His compositions create spaces for calm and introspection, infused with a gentle sense of nostalgia, and designed to accompany everyday life—both in motion and in moments of stillness.

He has collaborated with some of the most acclaimed Canadian artists, including Ariane Moffatt (with

whom he formed the duo SOMMM—their hit “Sunshine feat Clay & Friends” reached #1 BDS), FouKi, Eli Rose, Patrice Michaud, Star académie, Fanny Bloom (with whom he is recipient of ADISQ Award and nominations), Dumas, Alfa Rococo, Coeur de pirate, Jill Barber and more.

He's now working with many Los Angeles based Artists as Bitter:Sweet, BAYWUD, PARKWILD, Max Cinnamon and more.
